WARCO's top sellers for the terrace
The Right Flooring System for Every Terrace Type
Not every terrace is the same. Terraces differ primarily in location, but also in usage.
No matter where your terrace is located or how you plan to use it, with Warco you will always find the perfect flooring system.

For a new garden terrace, the substructure (load-bearing layer) generally needs to be constructed first.
Warco offers an economical, durable and groundwater-friendly solution here: a substructure made of gravel grids laid in a layer of crushed stone. This substructure can support up to 400 tonnes per square metre and is an ideal permeable load-bearing layer for Warco terrace tiles, which are simply laid on top.
With Warco tiles featuring puzzle interlock, a border frame can be omitted.
For a terrace at the house, a concrete floor slab has typically already been cast. In most cases, Warco terrace tiles can be installed directly on this subfloor without further preparation.
Even in a renovation project, when the house terrace is already covered with ceramic tiles, exposed concrete slabs, cobblestones or another typical terrace floor covering, a Warco terrace floor can usually be laid directly. The existing surface must be load-bearing, relatively even and have a slope for water drainage.
A flat roof always has a waterproofing layer, for example made of roofing felt, bitumen or plastic membranes. If the waterproofing is damaged, it can be repaired or completely renewed with ALLESDICHT by Warco – the rubber membrane from the bucket. If puddles remain on the waterproofing, they should be filled with roofing felt inserts.
The terrace floor can be laid directly on the roof waterproofing. For plasticised membranes, a separation fleece should be placed under the floor covering to prevent plasticiser migration from the membrane.
looks "TOP"
This concept really convinced me. What mattered to me was that I did not have to remove and dispose of the unsightly concrete paving on the terrace. The newly laid surface looks "TOP" – the persistent weed growth in the joints is finally a thing of the past. It’s also a low-maintenance product. Everything is easy to lay with perfect precision; small unevennesses are well compensated.

In Three Steps to a New Terrace
Installing Warco terrace tiles is a breeze. Thanks to the cleverly integrated interlocking system, the terrace floor is laid in no time and a continuous, stable tile carpet is created – without additional fixation.
The installation system and the recommended build-up work equally well for a new build as for a renovation of a terrace, whether in a garden, at the house or on a flat roof. A simple concept that delivers professional results.

For a new garden terrace, a load-bearing subfloor – the so-called load-bearing layer – must first be constructed.
A particularly cost-effective solution, both in terms of effort and expense, is a gravel grid subfloor (plastic lawn grid) embedded in a roughly 4 cm thick layer of crushed stone. The terrace tiles can be laid directly on the crushed stone–filled plastic grid.
Only minimal earthworks are required. The area can be restored at any time and the rainwater will drain through the entire terrace into the ground.
On existing terraces, the waterproofing against moisture ingress is often not guaranteed. To avoid structural damage, it is advisable to repair or completely renew the waterproofing.
This is particularly simple and safe with ALLESDICHT – the rubber membrane from the bucket. It is simply trowelled on and forms a permanently elastic waterproof layer. Afterwards, the terrace tiles are laid directly on ALLESDICHT.
Flat roofs are usually waterproofed with bitumen membranes or foils. Unevenness in the waterproofing leads to puddle formation during rainfall.
To avoid puddles, any depressions in the waterproofing should be levelled. The best solution is to use precisely cut roofing felt inserts, which can be laid in several layers if necessary.
The evenness of the area can be checked with a spirit level.
In many cases, the best laying strategy is to start in the centre of the area. The centre is determined and the first tile is placed there.
Subsequently, full tiles are laid on all four sides of the central tile. If the layout or the remaining edge areas are not optimal, the position of the tiles can be easily adjusted.
Finally, the area is filled with full tiles. Corrections can still be made at this stage, as no edge tiles have yet been cut.
Finally, once the layout has been optimised and confirmed, the edge and corner tiles as well as any openings for gutters, drains or railings are cut.
The cutting is carried out easily with a circular or jigsaw. If no rubber saw blade is available, a coarse wood saw blade may be used.
easy to work with
I have laid two terraces with approximately 30 m² each. Cutting and adjusting the corners took me about 4 hours per terrace, all done at a relaxed pace with plenty of breaks. With a bit of DIY skill (you should be comfortable with a tape measure and a jigsaw), it is really very easy to install. Small unevennesses are well compensated – the more even the subfloor, the better. Rainwater drains superbly under the tiles; no puddles form. I am absolutely thrilled – the next terrace is already planned.

Outdoor Floor Coverings for an Active and Comfortable Life
Warco rubber granulate terrace tiles dampen footfall noise and vibrations. They insulate against ground cold and do not heat up.
Ideal for children, seniors, pets, sports and fitness! Their non-slip surface and integrated impact protection provide the highest level of safety and minimise injury risks in case of falls. The resilient structure offers a pleasant barefoot feel – just like on a forest floor.
For an active and comfortable life. This makes the terrace the perfect place for fun, exercise and relaxation with the whole family!
Self-Cleaning in Style: Terrace Maintenance That Delights!
Maintaining and cleaning terrace tiles made from rubber granulate is simple. Minor dirt almost washes away by itself after rain as the self-cleaning effect kicks in: Water flushes the fine impurities away through the porous structure of the tiles.
For more stubborn dirt, sweeping with a broom or rinsing with a garden hose works well. The best results are achieved with a pressure washer for deep cleaning.
Stains such as grease or red wine can be removed with cleaning agents suitable for rubber, either acidic or alkaline. Abrasive or scouring methods must be avoided.
Versatility Meets Durability
Warco PU-bound rubber granulate terrace tiles support everything typically placed or used on a terrace: from high-heeled shoes to all kinds of garden furniture and outdoor sets, as well as flower pots and sports equipment.
Thanks to their excellent resilience, the loaded areas quickly return to their original form once the weight is removed, leaving no traces on the surface.
Barbecues can also generally be operated on the terrace floor without any concern. Depending on the type, the tiles are classified under the fire ratings Efl or Cfl-s1.
Terrace Floors – The Complete Package
Terrace Floor with (Almost) Invisible Joints
In the installed area, the joints between the tiles – and thus also the puzzle interlock – are almost invisible, as the individual tiles are cut with high precision from a larger format. The edges of the tiles are therefore not rounded, but square, and the tiles lie close together, creating the impression of a seamless surface.
Classic Terrace Tiles for Every Terrace Type
The classic terrace tiles in the 50 × 50 cm format can be laid on all types of terraces and are suitable for terraces of any size. The edges of the tiles are slightly rounded (with a chamfer), as they are pressed into shape. Three interlocking systems are available. The joint pattern of the finished terrace is more or less visible depending on the chosen colour. The joint itself is very narrow with tiles featuring puzzle interlock.
Terrace Tiles for Covered Outdoor Areas or Conservatories
Terrace tiles in the 100 × 100 cm format are primarily intended for covered areas, such as conservatories or covered terraces that are rarely exposed to the weather. The edges of these terrace tiles are chamfered – slightly rounded, as they are pressed into shape. There are two interlocking systems available. The tiles can be installed with either a cross joint or a T-joint, with the visibility of the joint pattern on the finished terrace depending mainly on the chosen colour.
Tiles for Small Terraces up to 25 m²
Balcony tiles in the 50 × 50 cm format with a thickness of 18 to 25 mm can also be laid on small terraces with an even, bonded subfloor. The terrace area should not exceed 25 m². These tiles are manufactured in moulds, meaning that they have a chamfered edge (are slightly rounded).
Floor Coverings for Areas with High Abrasion
In publicly or commercially used areas – for example in beer gardens or on terraces at restaurants and hotels – the floor covering is subject to intense abrasion. To better withstand this load, there are terrace tiles with higher density, meaning more material per volume. Due to the higher density, the water permeability is also reduced, which is why these tiles should not be used in private areas. These terrace tiles are manufactured in moulds and have a subtle chamfer at the edge.
Complementary Products
Complementary products include a permanently elastic adhesive for the secure bonding of rubber granulate tiles, ALLESDICHT – the flexible rubber membrane from the bucket – for effective waterproofing of horizontal and vertical surfaces, as well as gravel grids (lawn grids) for a stable subfloor under terrace tiles. Finally, there are wall protection profiles for a neat and attractive finishing edge.
