Frequently asked questions

Which decking material for terraces lasts the longest?

The durability of a decking solution depends on many factors. Key aspects include the quality of the material, frequency of use and regular maintenance. Environmental conditions and personal standards also play an important role.

Based on average use, correct installation and maintenance, the following life expectancy can be estimated:

    - Tiled terrace (ceramic tiles): approximately 8 to 12 years

    - WPC decking: approximately 5 to 10 years

    - Wood decking: approximately 5 to 10 years

    - Stone mosaic: approx. 6 to 12 years

    - WARCO decking: Approx. 8 to 20 years

    - Raised concrete slabs: approx. 12 to 20 years

    - Natural stone slabs embedded in sand or gravel: approx. 10 to 30 years

WARCO decking offers many advantages over other solutions. They can be installed without adhesives or screws on almost any flat, load-bearing surface. Integrated joints create a virtually seamless terrace. In addition, they are slip-resistant, provide extra fall protection, reduce impact noise and dampen ground vibrations. Their water permeability and fast drying time make them suitable for all weather conditions. A wide range of designs and colours allows for versatile styling options.
