Frequently asked questions

Can you place furniture on a rubber granulate floor?

Generally, furniture does not leave permanent marks on a rubber granulate floor, provided that the flooring is designated for furniture or equipment placement, as specified in WARCO’s product descriptions. Examples include terrace and balcony flooring, fitness floors, and surfaces used for exhibitions and trade shows.

It is important that the weight of the furniture is proportionate to the contact area of its legs so that the pressure per square unit does not become excessive. A good example is a stiletto heel: despite having a very small contact area—often less than one square centimetre—it can easily support 70 kilograms or more without leaving any marks.

The high resilience of rubber ensures that even under heavy loads, no permanent imprints occur. WARCO’s product descriptions provide a compressive strength value; a higher value indicates that more pressure per unit area can be absorbed, signifying a high load capacity and safe placement of furniture.
