Are rubber granulate floorings resistant to oil, grease, petrol and diesel?
Rubber granulate products, such as ELT (recycled tyre material) and EPDM, can withstand short-term contact with oil, grease, petrol and diesel. However, prolonged or intensive exposure causes the material to swell and lose its strength and elasticity. In car collections, rubber flooring protects tyres from ageing damage since oil leaks are uncommon. If oil or petrol is spilled, using a collection tray and immediate cleaning is recommended to prevent permanent floor damage.
