Frequently asked questions

What materials are used to manufacture WARCO products?

WARCO products are primarily made of PU-bonded rubber granulate, consisting of approximately 90% rubber granulate and 10% binder (polyurethane). Rubber granulate comprises irregularly shaped rubber particles produced by crushing or grinding larger rubber pieces, with a maximum edge length of up to 5 mm. A specific granulate fraction is always used during production, for example, particles ranging from 1 to 3 mm. The sieve curve, which indicates the ratio of larger to smaller particles, significantly influences the final product’s properties. Two types of rubber are mainly used: black ELT granulate from recycled tyres and fully coloured, newly manufactured EPDM.
