Preparation of the Substrate
Ensure that the existing substrate is load-bearing, level, clean and free from loose parts.
Cracks and leaks must be sealed. ALLESDICHT – the rubber coating from the bucket – is applied with a spatula and, once dried, forms a highly elastic, permanently tight rubber membrane.
Any unevenness or depressions (puddles) in the substrate should be compensated with appropriately cut bitumen mats, possibly in several layers.
Installation of the Balcony Panels
It is best to start installing the WARCO balcony panels in the middle of the balcony area. Place the first panel in the centre and align it.
Then lay additional panels on all four sides of the central panel until a full panel no longer fits in the row.
Check and correct the alignment.
Fill the area around the centre with full panels.
Finally, cut the edge and corner panels to size. Often a leftover piece can be used in the right place.
