Frequently asked questions

At what temperature should a rubber flooring be installed outdoors?

To achieve a durable and aesthetically pleasing installation, rubber granulate tiles should be laid at a temperature that falls midway between the minimum and maximum temperatures achievable at the site. In Central Europe, installation is recommended within a temperature range of 5 °C to 20 °C, with temperatures below 17 °C being advantageous. Installing in direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent uneven heating, and it is crucial that all tiles maintain a consistent temperature throughout the installation process.

Outdoor temperatures in Central Europe vary between -30 °C and +45 °C over the year, and under intense sunlight, the temperature at the surface of the tiles may be significantly higher. Consequently, rubber granulate panels installed outdoors must withstand temperature differences of up to 90 °C, whereas indoors these differences do not exceed 30 °C. Therefore, selecting the appropriate installation temperature is key to ensuring the long-term stability of the tile surface.
