How much adhesive is used when bonding rubber tiles or a rubber floor?
The amount of OP83 PU adhesive required to bond rubber tiles or a rubber floor depends on the specific installation conditions. It is determined by the characteristics of the rubber tiles and the substrate. Typically, a spot bonding method is used where a pea to hazelnut sized amount of adhesive is applied to one of the surfaces to be bonded. The smoother and more even the surfaces, the less adhesive is required; conversely, rough and porous surfaces require more adhesive to ensure a durable bond. Assuming approximately 1ml per joint, one cartridge of OP83 will cover approximately 310 joints.
