Do I need to be present for the delivery?
The shipment is delivered only against a signed receipt. This means that an authorised person must be present at the delivery address to accept the package and provide a legally binding confirmation of receipt. As the invoice recipient or orderer, you do not need to be present yourself as long as an authorised person is available. If no one is found at the delivery address, the shipment will not be delivered. Alternatively, you can grant permission for a drop-off, in which case the carrier will leave the package at the agreed location, and this deposit is considered a valid delivery.
