How is a balcony waterproofed?
The best solution for waterproofing balconies is to use a liquid sealant that is applied directly to the surface. ALLESDICHT - the rubber membrane in a bucket - is a water-thinnable, solvent-free sealant based on finely ground rubber. When dry, it forms a permanently elastic and highly tear resistant rubber membrane with a tear resistance of over 200%. This flexible sealant is particularly suitable for balconies as it remains watertight even under structural stress and reliably bridges cracks. WARCO ALLESDICHT can be applied to a variety of substrates including concrete, wood, bitumen and tiles, and can be trowelled, brushed or sprayed as required. Two or three coats form a waterproof rubber membrane at least 2 mm thick that will protect your balcony and building from moisture for many years.
