What is the difference between usable size (format) and shipping dimensions (size)?
For products assembled using a mounting system, a distinction is made between the usable size (format) and the shipping dimensions (size). Shipping dimensions refer to the maximum dimensions - length, width and height - that must be taken into account during shipping. In contrast, the usable size is the value used to calculate the required quantity. For example, a usable size of 500 × 500 mm means that an element covers an area of 0.25 m² when installed as part of a system. Please calculate your requirements based on the useful size only. Please note that products made from rubber granulate can have tolerances of up to 2% in length and width and that the dimensions given are for new, dry elements at 20°C.
