The artificial grass fitness tile is a real "two in one" solution. The artificial grass multiplay was developed for sports applications and is directly mounted on the rubber granulate fitness panel by means of a special process. The well-damming artificial grass fitness tile absorbs vibrations and impact and insulates against cold ground.

The artificial grass fitness tile offers a lot of space to design attractive fitness areas indoors and outdoors. This product has been manufactured with an enhanced concentration. Thus, it's more resistant against abrasion and mechanical loading, but it's less elastic and open-pored and the damping is worse. It's recommended for surface with normal and enhanced loading.

Properties

Colour Artificial grass green The green colour hue chosen for the green artificial grass makes the lawn look naturally. It's based on the RAL 6011, Reseda green. The artificial grass fibres are fully imbued, so that they retain their pleasant, green colour also if it's used intensively.

material The tile has a two-layer structure. The artificial lawn mat in the professional Multiplay quality builds the wear and visible layer. In the manufacturing process, it was drawn over a base plate made of rubber granulate. The rubber granulate of the base plate is obtained from discarded tyres and primarily consists in a high-quality mix of natural rubber (NR) and Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR).

Assembly There is a strong mounting system consisting in an overlap and a dovetail joint formed into the edges of every tile. Thus, a form-fit, permanently loadable connection is created between the plates while laying. However, the zip is not visible in the surface. This type of tiles unites the best possible connection system for rubber granulate tiles with a classic, rectangular seam design of a chequerboard.

Structure of the underside

A drainage system consisting in 4 mm deep drainage channels across the elements and about 15 mm deep hemispherical domes is formed into the bottom side of the tiles. The tiles can be laid on almost every workable base course, also unbound. Please take note of the laying instruction.

The higher the indicated value, the harder the material and the lower the penetration of an object that puts a point-load on the material. Typical point-loads are high-heel shoes, table or chair legs, plant tubs on wheels, some kinds of pedestals for devices and appliances. In individual cases, it can be tested on-site on a material sample if the chosen material has a compression strength sufficient for the desired application.

Elasticity and shock absorption

The higher the indicated value, the more elastic the material and the better it absorbs the shocks (falling objects, steps and kicks, drops). This means also that the material is softer and more flexible and e.g. it leads to a worse ball bounce or worse suitability for vehicle traffic. In special application cases it should be tested by an easy trial with a material sample, if the kinetic energy exerted by the typical object (mass and velocity) is cushioned as requested. If the material is too weak, it will be overloaded, a material with too high stiffness will not give the desired absorption.

The higher the indicated value, the better the damping of vibrations, structure-borne and impact sound. It causes a better acoustic and mechanic decoupling between the activities on the material and the ground on that the material is laid. While choosing the material, the material parameters compressive strength, elasticity and shock absorption should be always selected according to the planned application, in order to obtain the best long-term results.

The higher the indicated value, the faster the liquids (e.g. water) run through the material and the higher is the amount of liquid able to pass the material in a given time period. The value applies for clean material. In case of clogged pores, e.g. ill-kempt stall mats in a horsebox, the flow is obstructed or impossible. Good liquid-permeability is important in the outdoor areas, because it prevents puddle formation and soil sealing. Indoors a close-pored material doesn't let the washing water or spilled drinks penetrate into it.

The higher the indicated value, the higher the level of skid resistance of the material surface in the wet or dry state.

Heat insulation and insulation against ground cold

The higher the indicated value, the better the insulation of the material against heat and coldness. The material is not a replacement for heat insulating materials, but it significantly improves the comfort feeling. In a gym, but also in a balcony or terrace the material insulated against the ground cold; the botty will not get cold. There is a similar effect in the stall mats in the horse keeping or dog kennel mats. In the winter, the workplace mats assure dry and not so cold feet is sales booths.

Frost resistance and suitability for permanent wetting

The higher the indicated value, the more suitable the material for usage in areas, where a permanent wetting (e.g. rainy weather periods or application in wet rooms) or frosty periods can occur. The rubber can swell up when permanently drenched; the material can expand up to 2%. The drenching can be avoided by a good draining in the material (liquid-permeability) and under the material (draining bottom side).
